EMDR, or eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, is a form of psychotherapy that was developed in the 1980's by Dr. Francine Shapiro. Since it's inception, dozens of studies have documented it's effectiveness in treating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, addiction, depression, etc. This happens by bilateral movements of the eyes, hands, or with sound or tactile feedback. Yes! Counseling can be beneficial no matter your needs! Both in-person and virtual sessions are available without compromise to your privacy, communication preferences, schedule, health status, etc.
